Video AFC Bournemouth Antoine Semenyo Get Racially Abuse by Liverpool Fans

As the opening whistle sounded at Anfield, a new chapter in the Premier League began. The 2025/26 season kicked off with the reigning champions, Liverpool, hosting a determined AFC Bournemouth side.

While the focus was on the start of a fresh campaign and Liverpool's title defense under new manager Arne Slot, the air was heavy with emotion.

Both teams and fans paid tribute to the late Diogo Jota, who tragically passed away over the summer, as a new-look Liverpool looked to honour his memory and assert their dominance against a Bournemouth team eager to cause an upset on the opening day.

But the match was kind of "ruin" by the behavior of fans (or fan) who allegedly acted racially towards Bournemouth player Antoine Semenyo.

The referee even stopped the match for a few minutes.
